I've been working with Alliance Consulting for over 2 years now, first at ContextWeb and currently at Conductor, Inc. In fact, when I joined Conductor, I was happy to discover that we were in negotiations with Alliance already. We needed to quickly form a team to design and build a n-tiered web application from scratch. Not only did Alliance quickly assemble a team to my specification, they under took some really innovative design challenges with JSON and AJAX.

I wanted to take a minute to reflect on the accomplishments, some thoughts and opinions that I've gathered over the past year while working with the Alliance team. So, before I begin, I would like to share my background as it pertains to outsourcing vendors. While I was working for State Street Bank, I was personally involved in the management, architecture, design, development and testing efforts with three India based consulting companies. The total number of resources peaked to about 300 people. My work for Clearbrook was at a much smaller scale and was with a single vendor.
